Mandala Tower is a 106 metres tall mixed-used skyscraper located in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It was designed by Mondreem, a Spanish architectural firm, making it an ultra-modern building in the country.[2] It has a unique leaf shape and is classifed by Ulaanbaatar's construction firms as a "complex building," which is usually over 50 meters in height. Due to its leaf shape, Taiwan's Federal Engineering Consultants LLC helped advise Moncon group with how to build high rise buildings in a seismic zone as well as reducing wind tunnel effect on buildings. . In addition to wind loads, Ulaanbaatar is considered to be an active seismic zone, and specialists from Federal Engineering Consultants LLC, and Mongolian engineers have worked to meet the requirements of Mongolian building regulations.[3] Mandala tower has two towers which includes Mandala 360, due to how the leaf sized shape creates panoramic views of the city, while the second tower is named Mandala 365 for yearly living.[4]
