Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 AFS Tezpur, is a school in Tezpur and part of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in India. This centre of excellence which was first established in 1978 as a defense sector school affiliated to CBSE.

Apart from academics, the school encourages students to participate in extra-curricular activities, competitions and games and sports events organized by the KV Sangathan and other schools at national level.

Campus[edit]

Located within the premises of the Indian Air Force, Tezpur, the school is surrounded by lush greenery, including trees and blooming plants. Its main building features a spacious open-center design with the assembly ground at its core. Distinguished as one of the selected Kendriya Vidyalayas, this school has embraced modern educational practices, incorporating E-Classroom and e-Learning teaching methods through the integration of Smart Boards in its classrooms.

Faculty[edit]

The school employs a total of 73 teaching staff members, classified into three categories: post-graduate teachers (PGTs), trained graduate teachers (TGTs), and primary teachers (PRTs).

Student activities[edit]

The school promotes student participation in national-level competitions and exams to enhance their exposure. Additionally, it organizes workshops to keep students informed about developments in the fields of Science, Humanities, and Commerce.

The school organises a sports day annually in which the Houses take part in intra-school sports events. The school has won many trophies in Football, Cricket, Athletics and other games at the regional and national levels.

The school consists of three Children Parks which provide recreation to the primary students.
