The Durrës Yachts & Marina (Albanian: Jahtet & Marina e Durrësit) is a superyacht infrastructure megaproject currently undergoing construction in Durrës, Albania.[1] Once completed, it will become the largest superyacht marina located on the Adriatic Sea. 93% of the total construction area will become residential, with the remaining 7% being divided equally between hotels and commercial areas.[2] In addition to the large marina, the project also aims to feature 12.000 high-end luxury homes, upscale shopping and fine dining options, distinctive retail experiences, green spaces and parks, lavish deluxe hotels, top-tier wellness centers, and private beach and marina clubs.[3] The residential area will be divided into seven unique and distinct segments: Bayside Residence, Beach Views Residence, Beach Vistas Residence, Green Vistas, Marina Waters Residence, Parkview Residence, and Seaside Residence.[4]
The project is spearheaded by Mohamed Alabbar, an Emirati businessman, whose other notable achievements include the Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai.[5] In this joint venture, Eagle Hills, of which Mohamed Alabbar is the Chairman, holds a 67% stake, while the Albanian Seaports Development Company, which is an Albanian state-owned company, holds a 33% stake.[6]
