Christopher George Charles Nevill, 6th Marquess of Abergavenny, DL (born 23 April 1955[1][2]) is a British peer and current head of the House of Neville.

Life[edit]

Abergavenny is the only surviving son of the late Lord Rupert Nevill and his wife Lady Camilla Anne Evelyn Wallop. He was educated at Harrow.[3][4]

In 1985, he married Venetia Jane Gerard. In 1990 they had twins, a boy and a girl, Lady Sophie, but she was the only one to survive and remains an only child.[3] She is a musician who goes by the stage name of Sophie Trilby.[4]

Before moving into the Ecuadorean Embassy in London, Julian Assange was living in a cottage on Abergavenny's estate in Kent.[4]

He was made Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex in 2011.[5]
