Associated with the United States[edit]

I saw that Canada has a userbox where it says, "This user is associated with Canada." I'd love to see one -- are there any plans for a similar one for the United States? There are lots of Americans living abroad (and American-associated people such as myself) out there. Any answer would be great, thanks! --Buchanan-Hermit 09:05, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The opposite would be good too, for instance the category is Wikipedians in the United States but the template says Wikipedians From the United States, I fit the category but not the template (Englishman in America) Bob Palin 17:21, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I created a new "American" (US citizen) template for people who want to say more than that they're "from" the US, but who feel uncomfortable at the "in your face" style of American patriotism that is unfortunately associated in many people's minds with the phrase "proud to be an American". Hoosier Duplication[edit]

Why do we have two Indiana categories? Who wants to volunteer to fix this? :) --Jay (Histrion) 03:57, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Cities[edit]

I'm sure this discussion has already taken place and consensus has been reached, so maybe someone can simply point me to it, but have we foregone classification by city under this new categorization scheme? - Jersyko talk 19:42, September 9, 2005 (UTC)

I wonder if we actually can organize this by cities. Look at the Category of Wikipedians in New York. There are cities as sub-categories, and even new york city has several different sub-categories. I, nontheless, would not know how to go about adding the cities. - Dozenist talk 16:46, 10 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Category duplication[edit]

I've noticed users including themselves in state subcategories as well as the parent category. This seems to be redundant. I haven't a clue as to approach this problem, or if anyone cares. :) —Viriditas | Talk 02:27, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New type of stub for user boxes?[edit]
