What is the point of this category?[edit]

What purpose does it serve? Each of the sovereign states has it's own category; do other random clusters of sovereign states have their own category? If it was confined to the geography of the isles, it might be supportable, but as it's about politics, it can only serve as a "History of polities in the British Isles". So at the very least a rename and scope definition is required. Laurel Lodged (talk) 12:24, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would be happy with an alternative, provided that the link between UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man does not get lost. Marcocapelle (talk) 13:37, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Marcocapelle I think that it is up to the UK category to accommodate the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Unless you are thinking of something like Category:Politics in the United Kingdom and the Crown Dependencies. Laurel Lodged 14:03, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
Well, it says that "This category should only be used for articles whose remit somehow overlaps any the categories contained below".– Fayenatic London 20:05, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
