Oppose. The current name is clearer. While in context whip alone is understandable (albeit with a disambiguation needed), in casual speech you would need the longer expression to understand what you are talking about. This longer expression may also be a perfectly fine name for the main article I. I notice that particular articles use a variety of compound forms for the function: party whip, chief whip, parliamentary leader etc. Place Clichy (talk) 11:27, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
