I have severe reservations about a category covering Ireland between 1558 and 1603 coming under the name of an English monarch. Most people in Ireland didn't see beyond their own parish, if not townland, never mind view Ireland in terms of a foreign monarch. It's a serious misnomer on every single count. I would propose late sixteenth century Ireland or, better still, a sixteenth century category (it would then parallel standard textbooks such as Sixteenth Century Ireland by Colm Lennon)86.42.97.195 11:27, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
