Link with Category:Mysteries[edit]

I think this cat and Category:Mysteries should be somehow linked. In my humble opinion, both are pretty much about the same thing with the difference that

  • Unsolved problems is about problems thats scientists work on and
  • Mysteries are about problems that scientists often consider "unscientific" (ghosts, ufos etc).

Any idea how to link them without alienating anybody? Making which category a sub-cat of which other cat? Peter S. 16:00, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Mysteries was made the supercat in the interim. I've just tightened up the definition for this category as there were a couple of articles that were in Unsolved problems that I felt ought to be moved to Mysteries. jnestorius(talk) 21:15, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

technical problems[edit]

I added the "category: open problems" tag to a few unsolved technical problems (computer engineering, aerospace engineering, etc.), even though those problems are arguably not "scientific" problems. Is there a more specific category I should be using, something like "unsolved engineering problems" or "difficult design problems"? --DavidCary (talk) 12:30, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
