{{editprotected}} This category does not include our nation's capital, Washington D.C. Needless to say, there are more than a few important music venues in this city and it would be great if this category reflected that. While an enormous fan of wikipedia I've never done much by the way of editing, so please excuse me if I did anything incorrectly here. Triplesb 20:38, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if such a category exists, but if not, you could always create Category:Music venues in Washington, D.C.. Then, place the category on the relevant articles (if they exist). It's not so much editing this page, as it is finding the articles and placing them in a category for D.C. - auburnpilot talk 23:45, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for the informative and timely response. Upon following your advice however, I realized the hierarchy that was in place here. I didn't initially see that nightclubs were a whole subcategory of music venues, as I had intended on adding what I now see are categorized as nightclubs. I will keep my eyes out though for anything in Washington, D.C. that might possibly fit into this category without classifying as a concert hall, indoor arena, nightclub, or opera house. Thanks again for the help! Triplesb 21:38, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
