CPU-specific home computer categories[edit]

The rules I've been using:

  1. Keep home computer families (e.g., Apple II, Atari ST) at the top level of Home Computers. Don't hide them behind processor types.
  2. CPU-specific categories show individual computer models.

Rationale: When people look for, say, Amiga, they aren't coming at it processor-first. They're looking for "Amiga". There are also PowerPC-based Amigas, so it doesn't make sense to duplicate the entire Amiga category in the 68000-based sub-category. For people who care about processors, the list of exact models is more useful than broad categories to sort through. Dgpop (talk) 17:44, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
