Scope of category[edit]

@Sillyfolkboy: it seems to me that this would be more useful for "(autonomous community)". If you want to keep it for the greater region, would you split it to a sub-cat for the autonomous community? – Fayenatic London 08:54, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Fayenatic london: Yes, I thought the same, but the situation was complicated by the content currently under Category:Provinces of the Basque Country (greater region) which has been treated as an all Basque grouping since 2011. I'm happy to build another sub-category structure for the autonomous community if you think that's a good idea? I think it makes sense to keep this kind of category if we see it as a cultural one equivalent to things like Category:Geography_of_Scandinavia SFB 15:27, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Sillyfolkboy: although we don't want to hinder navigation with unnecessary extra category layers, it appears to me that two Geography categories would be best. – Fayenatic London 20:10, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Fayenatic london: Done - I've created Category:Geography of the Basque Country (greater region), rehomed the relevant material and placed the greater region under Category:Iberian Peninsula rather than the Spanish categories. Thanks SFB 00:32, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Sillyfolkboy: Great. I see you also found a Wikidata item in each case and linked to it – well done. – Fayenatic London 07:23, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
