Date range[edit]

@Dimadick: although you specified a date range for "ancient Israel c.950-722 BCE", the settings of the contents range from Genesis to Roman times.

Options to resolve this inconsistency include

  1. Rename to "set in Ancient Israel and Judah";
  2. Remove the stated date ranges;
  3. Remove the stated date ranges from the subcats by medium (comics, novels, films) and add new parallel sub-cats of "fiction set in" smaller date ranges e.g. based on Torah, later Hebrew Bible settings, and Greek/Roman era; or
  4. also split comics, novels etc to smaller date ranges.

Looking around, there is quite a lot of scope for sorting things better. Category:Films based on the Hebrew Bible has subcats for Genesis, Exodus, David, Solomon etc.

Category:Ancient Israel and Judah is intended for the two kingdoms, but Category:Cultural depictions of ancient Israelite and Judean people has content from Genesis to the New Testament. – Fayenatic London 22:51, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • The problem with the 1st option would be that it would remove everything following the 580s BCE, when the Kingdom of Judah ended. The 2nd option would just leave things vague. Option 3 might be a good idea, provided there is sufficient content for expansion. Dimadick (talk) 06:50, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
