Hmm... I'm sorry I missed the chance to participate in the CfD discussion about these upmerged categories archived here. It seems it was at least worth further discussion. Most card games are not playable by two players, and many are not ideally suited to fewer than four players, so it seems quite sensible to categorize games that are designed for, or are reasonably playable by two or three players. While it's true that many games can be played by a variable number of players, there is often an ideal number, or a minimum-maximum range. It's certainly worth noting which games play well for two players, as such games are relatively rare, and I can see a real need for players to know "what can my friend and I play when there's just two of us and a deck of cards?" zadignose 06:16, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I came here with the same intent! To suggest to categorize the games also by the number of player allowed. That would be a useful resource for people getting to the encyclopedia looking for informations about a game that can be player, as an example, by two. I have a small bibliography about the topic at home and I can be of a little help if other consider that a good idea. Spelta

Not Always Board Games[edit]

This is sunk in the category Board Games, but many card games don't use a board at all. 2601:441:5000:13E0:4040:D84:566E:92F9 (talk) 05:14, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
