Why isn't Charles Manson listed? Isn't he the most famous serial killer in the US? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.42.93.89 (talk) 05:53, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please put these people in alphabetical order by surname? Naysie 10:50, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is serial killer really an "occupation"? I'd thunk it more of a hobby or something, unless if these individuals were hitmen. 75.43.170.243 07:28, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This page is missing David Carpenter...the Trailside Killer

Dictionary: Occupation is any activity that occupies an important portion of a person's attention.--Ukas 15:50, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Mark Ellard[edit]

Murdered Sandra Dee Swisher, raped and murdered Charlotte Parks, raped and attempted to murder Nancy Conn in 1971. http://www.geocities.com/murder_stories3/nancy_conn1.html Lifetime TV made a TV movie titled "Fight for Justice: The Nancy Conn Story" in 1995. They changed the year to 1982 and changed the name of Ellard's first victim. The only reference I found to Sandra Dee Swisher. http://books.valdosta.edu/arch/VDTIndex/vdt-1976/M-1976.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bizzybody (talkcontribs) 07:44, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ronald DeFeo, Jr[edit]

Why isn't Ronald DeFeo, Jr on this page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.54.159.210 (talk) 00:54, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could it be because there was no serie of killings or attempts committed by DeFeo. He killed his whole family during a single event. Maybe that's why he is rather categorized as a American spree killer. I guess it's a technicality, but then again you have to limit these categories. --Ukas (talk) 17:08, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Richard "Iceman" Kuklinski[edit]

Wouldn't he qualify? I know he was a hitman, but he committed many murders for pleasure rather than business.

I think that Kulinski fits the bill. He just happened to find an occupation that suited his...interests.--209.89.155.96 (talk) 21:20, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccuracies within the serial killer pages[edit]

I wasn't sure of the best page to post this, so I'm posting it here. Right now, several profiles list their killers as 'possibly the most prolific.' I was going to post a list, but there are tons of them.

Also, two people are listed as the first American serial killer, both the H.H. guy from Fort Worth and the 'Servant Girl Annhilator.'

Someone with enough knowledge on the subject should go through and fix them all. 74.192.38.212 (talk) 02:15, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Karla Holmolka, Paul Bernardo[edit]

are Canadian serial killers and should not be included in a list of American serial killers. They were from, and committed their crimes in Southern Ontario.

Larry Eyler[edit]

Missing from the list. Actually, I don't think he even has an article at all. Which is kind of strange as he's been linked with 21 murders. 70.225.143.124 (talk) 15:54, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ted Kaczynski[edit]

A terrorist who happened to be active for several attacks over a prolonged period; not a serial killer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.89.155.96 (talk) 21:22, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

possible new African-American serial killer: Samuel Little/McDowell[edit]

Someone who knows how to start a wiki page should start one on Samuel Little/McDowell. Right now, he's merely a suspect in the murder of dozens of women across the country over a period of decades. But he's definitely worth starting a wiki page to keep tabs of as the investigations and possible criminal cases progress.

DC Sniper[edit]

I guess you know the question that is coming here. Why no John Allen Muhammad? I mean I guess you can chalk up the majority of the 10 or so murders him and Lee Boyd Malvo committed to Lee, who I also did not see on the list, but why are either of these two excluded?Zdawg1029 (talk) 03:11, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
