For those watching the above discussion, my closing decision was keep, but with a recommendation to change the names to Category:2006 current events archives by day and Category:2007 current events archives by day. This would require adjusting the programming on the current events portal, which I hope will occur.--Mike Selinker 14:08, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
