Bhavneet Singh (born 20 December 1972) is an Indian investor and businessman, founder and CEO of Sandbox Group, a UK-based digital learning company founded in 2015.[1] Formerly holding the position of managing director and Executive Vice President at Paramount Global (previously Viacom CBS).[2]

Career[edit]

Singh spent eight years as managing director and Executive Vice President at Paramount Global (previously Viacom CBS).[2] He later served as the President & CEO of Pearson English.[3]

Singh has held senior roles across digital, general management and business development with Manchester United, Endeavor (previously IMG) and Discovery Communications.[4] He served as the managing director and Executive Vice President, Emerging Markets, MTV Networks International (MTVNI).[5][6]

Singh sits on the board of various organisations. Singh is a Non-Executive Director on the Commercial Board at the BBC.[1] Singh also serves as an independent non-executive director for GB Group PLC[7] and is a member of the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader.[8]

In 2014, Singh founded Sandbox Group, a UK-based digital learning company with 17 market-leading properties across the US, UK, Europe and Brazil.[9][10]

Singh grew up with his parents and sister in India. He now lives with his wife and two children in England.

Honours[edit]

  • 2009 - Nominated as a Young Global Leader for the World Economic Forum[8]
  • 2018 - Recognised by the annual Top 100 Asian Stars in the UK Tech list[11]
  • 2021- Honoured as one of twenty-one of Britain’s leading Asian Tech Pioneers, by Equality Charity Diversity UK, on the publication of its annual Top 100 Asian Stars in UK Tech list[12]
