Aggi Barata (transl. Fire Blast) is a 1966 Telugu-language swashbuckling fantasy film, produced and directed by B. Vittalacharya under the Sri Vital Combines banner. It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Rajasree with music composed by Vijaya Krishna Murthy.[1][2]

Plot[edit]

Once upon a time, there was a Kingdom Amaravati, ruled by Amarasimha. Its chief commander Gajapati is demonic that entices Princess Vasavi and the kingdom. Once Gajapati seizes and slays a dreadful dacoit Ranga Raju, in his guise, Gajapati creates catastrophe in the domain. At a point of strike on a village, a gallant Raja counterstrikes him. Meanwhile, in hunting, Gajapati wiles to assassinate Amarasimha who is secured by a few stanches and kept in the hideout. After a while, in annual tournaments at the fort, Raja suspects Gajapati. Following, he victor and nobilitating as Aggi Barata. Whereat, Vasavi covetously negotiates with him about her jeopardize with Gajapati when Raja words to shield, and they crush. Parallelly, Raja's maternal uncle Bham Bham Basaviah backs attaining manifold magical powers and is gunned against a wizard Konda Buchodu that resides on their outskirts, but in vain. Eventually, Gajapati ruses to forcibly knit Vasavi when Raja is acquainted with the King via loyal aides who divulge the two cards of Gajapati. Now, Raja is designated as the protector who rescues Vasavi in various forms of disguise. Consequently, infuriated Gajapati ruins Raja's village, captures him, and is gravely subjected to torments. Parallelly, he also senses the existence of the King and prisons him with Vasavi. Plus, he assigns Konda Bhuchodu as a security to the fort. Basaviah safeguards Raja, and with his aid, he breaks the bars. At last, Raja ceases Gajapati and Basaviah tactically kills Konda Bhuchodu. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with Amarasimha crowning Raja and splicing Vasavi with him.
