Acmaeops proteus is a species of the Lepturinae subfamily in the long-horned beetle family.[1] This beetle is distributed in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.[1]

Fungi, Paecilomyces farinosus entomopathogenic species parasite on adult beetles.[1]
