One of Adam Cuerden’s several quality restorations during round 1

That's it, the first round is done, sign-ups are closed and we're into round 2. Twenty-two Good Articles were submitted, including three by Connecticut Cyclonebiskit (submissions), and two each by Denmark MPJ-DK (submissions), Zanzibar Hurricanehink (submissions), Florida 12george1 (submissions), and New South Wales Cas Liber (submissions). Twenty-one Featured Pictures were claimed, including 17 by There's always time for skeletons Adam Cuerden (submissions) (the Round 1 high scorer). Thirty-one contestants saw their DYKs appear on the main page, with a commanding lead (28) by Wales Cwmhiraeth (submissions). Twenty-nine participants conducted GA reviews with Lancashire J Milburn (submissions) completing nine.

WikiCup 2016 March newsletter (update)

Along with getting the year wrong in the newsletter that went out earlier this week, we did not mention (as the bot did not report) that New South Wales Cas Liber (submissions) claimed the first Featured Article Persoonia terminalis of the 2016 Wikicup. Lower East Side

Hello! Hi there K6ka! I'm curious as to why you deleted the images I posted to the Lower East Side page. I was only trying to enhance and provide more visual information. I also added images of the LES parks which were not removed. Thank you! Mag 02:41, 17 March 2016 (UTC)~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Magdalamar (talkcontribs)

@Magdalamar: Do you have any diffs of me making such edits? I checked the revision history for Lower East Side and I've never edited that page. I also never deleted any images, mostly because I can't actually delete images (I'm not an administrator). —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 12:19, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Overflow at your admintools page

Dear User:K6ka. Your page User:K6ka/Dashboard has appeared at Category:Pages_where_template_include_size_is_exceeded. You could help us to empty this maintenance category by replacing the admin dashboard parts of this page with {{admin dashboard/light}} that provides the same functionality, but is far less prone to overflow. Thanks in advance. Pldx1 (talk) 11:09, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Pldx1 isn't there any way to simply have the dashboard not emit the maintenance category? –xenotalk 11:37, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Xeno. I don't understand your reply. This category is to detect the pages that doesn't display correctly. With the intend to incite someone to fix the template overflows. Listing or not listing the pages on overflow would not change the fact that these pages are on trouble. Concerning {{admin dashboard}}, I am trying to see what solutions could be used. It is clear that using admincats for WP:UAA and WP:RFPP would be a greater solution. But at a more modest level, detecting if a page would create an overflow before displaying this page seems a rather good --and simple-- idea. Actually, 67 users are directly transcluding {{admin dashboard}}, while many others have tried various patches (that work or not, because admin overflows are transient phenomenons). Have you some suggestions to improve {{admin dashboard/light}} ? Pldx1 (talk) 11:59, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Pldx1: It's a bit unclear what you want me to replace on that page, as I am not transcluding {{admin dashboard}} directly anywhere on the page. The only templates that have "admin dashboard" in their name is {{Admin dashboard/rfarfp}} and {{Admin dashboard/uaarfpp}}. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 13:23, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
My point is that no one seems to particularly care or be bothered about the overflows on their admin dashboards. So just omitting the maintenance category would help you to keep the maintenance category under control. –xenotalk 13:33, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@K6ka: What I am suggesting is <!--{{dashboard}}--> <!--{{Admin dashboard/rfarfp}} --> <!--{{admin dashboard/uaarfpp}} --> {{admin dashboard/light}} . This will give you the intended functionality: transclude what is possible to transclude, and otherwise provide a link to the overflown item. Pldx1 (talk) 13:42, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
