Your requested edit at Bata Shoe Museum[edit]

Hello Chopine. I belatedly saw your requested edit from 27 March about this museum. Please go ahead and make the change you have in mind. When you are done, leave me a note and I'll check them. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 21:47, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In terms of structure, the revised draft in the talk page is a huge improvement. As you said, the museum is about the contents rather than the building. Although hiring a world famous architect does tend to tip the balance.
The article (both current and new draft) is lacking in external sources. Without these, it has the flavour of a museum brochure rather than an encyclopedia article. I imagine the museum has archives. Probably there you can find articles that appeared in newspapers and magazines, both when the temporary museum opened, when the current one opened, and perhaps reviews of some important exhibits. Perhaps an architecture mag for its description of the building.
I looked at three other museum articles to see what they used by way of refs. Without running down other museums, I'll just say I did not find any shining examples. If you have a list of other speciality museums, you might get some help from their articles.
None of this should take precedence over what EdJohnson suggested above, but I think it might be looked at as a next step. Bon chance! Wanderer57 (talk) 01:23, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Ed and Wanderer57. I'll look in our library and should be able to find some sources. --Chopine (talk) 01:38, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you EdJohnston and Wanderer57[edit]

I've made the edits, and will be gathering and adding some media sources in August. If you think any changes need to be made at this point, please let me know.

Thank you again for your help, --Chopine (talk) 03:14, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
