Ultramontane is a Wikipedia user who joined on October 1, 2006, intent on helping keep Wikipedia accurate and up-to-date. At the time, he had used the website for several years, and wished to be able to contribute and make corrections.

Ultramontane is passionate about reformatting pages that are written out of order or in large hunks of text into the sectioned entries that everyone expects from Wikipedia.

First Article and Subsequent Removal

Ultramontane's first article, "Rambone," was about his pet albino tiger oscar, known by those who loved him as "Rambo." The article was later deleted by another user, and forwarded to an article about "Dick Rambone," the porn actor.

Ultramontane had added the article in an attempt to figure out how to use Wikipedia. It worked out very well, and the article looked professional, clean and orderly. At the time, Ultramontane was too ill-informed to know that he should have used the Wikipedia sandbox to practice editing articles, and so he thought that posting an article on his dead pet fish was acceptable.

Ultramontane took no action to restore the article, knowing that it did not belong on Wikipedia.

Edits and Other Contributions

Ultramontane has done some work on the Hank Williams Jr. entry. He has heavily edited the George Jones entry, adding lots of content, formating the post and fixing some of the wording for clarity.

Following the George Jones entry, Ultramontane decided to work on the George Wallace Jones entry after stumbling upon it and finding it dreadfully low on detail. He first added a picture of the long-dead Senator and then decided to format the page for clarity. He eventually researched the Senator and added new content to fill in the blanks in the Senator's biography.

Ultramontane then made some minor edits to the Constitution Party entry.

Following an editing hiatus of almost four years, Ultramontane decided to contribute to Wikipedia once again upon discovering that recently released information about the Passion Pit album Manners had not yet been added to the album's Wikipedia entry.

Ultramontane plans to continue contributing content to Wikipedia as often as is necessary and useful, and plans to continue using the website in his day-to-day life until something better comes along, which he feels will probably not happen anytime soon.
