This is a Wikipedia project for the advancement of articles about rich people. Its goal is to build encyclopedic entries on extremely concentrated material wealth, namely to document people and small groups throughout history that accumulated immense wealth—why they did it, how they did it, and what they did with it. The project is coordinated to address a lack of Wikipedia coverage disproportionate to the amount of soft power wielded. Scope[edit]
- Biographies of billionaires, plutocrats, people known for their material wealth, and their descendants
- Families known for their material wealth, especially where the individual heirs are themselves not notable
- Assets of the wealthy (mansions, buildings, blocks, and subway stations bearing their names)
- Customs and traditions specific to the upper classes (e.g., education, leisure, philanthropy and foundations)
- Emphasis on the above outside of America
