Cost of vitamins[edit]

How does the quality of Vitacost vitamins compare with Swanson vitamins. How do I find the answer to that question? Sara

Page reads like advertisement[edit]

The Vitacost page reads like an advertisement for Vitacost. What can be done about this? Jeremy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jstorly (talkcontribs) 17:09, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This article reads like an advertisement because it is an advertisement. And that's no mystery; there are two single-purpose accounts being used to make this article read like a Hallmark card asking “Do you like puppies?” The end result is in violation of Wikipedia is not a means of promotion. There are millions of companies out there and it is clear there is nothing about this company that gives it sufficient notability to merit inclusion in this encyclopedia. It probably deserves to nominated for AFD. Greg L (talk) 12:27, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I agree its suspecious two accounts do nothing but edit this page. I removed some of their recent additions. [1] is just a press release from the company, and it clearly bias, so not a good reference to use. Don't erase the article though, just remove anything that is spam. What makes Vitacost notable? Please examine Wikipedia’s Notability Guidelines. Is a company’s annual sales volume to become factor in notability? How much press attention is Vitacost currently getting? I see Super Lube’s products in almost every maintenance department, so should Wikipedia have an article on them as well?

BTW, I wasn’t proposing to “erase” the article; I was suggesting it ought to be nominated for deletion via our WP:AFD process. That allows the wikipedian community to fully vet and discuss salient issues before anything draconian might occur. I see no need to nominate this for AFD if someone can advance a case for notability that is founded in our current policies. Greg L (talk) 18:15, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Erase, delete, same thing. Anyway, I figured the bit from Inc.com and other things made them notable. Dream Focus 18:25, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Very well. I see you devoted loads of (all volunteer) sweat equity into the article today to salvage it. I am loath to piss in someone's cornflakes when they do the heavy lifting like that. I certainly won’t nominate it for AFD. I appreciate how you stepped up to the plate; Wikipedia needs more editors like you. Greg L (talk) 22:39, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lawsuit[edit]

If anyone has details of this case and lawsuit https://www.bbc.com/news/stories-45971416, it may be an important addition to the article. --Pjacobi (talk) 14:45, 25 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Founder of Vitacost[edit]

This seems like it would be an essential question, no? Suspicious that the founding date and location are both mentioned but the name of founder is left out. My sources tell me that it is Wayne Gorsek, who left Vitacost and founded a new company for unclear reasons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.172.141.39 (talk) 18:01, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To add to article[edit]

To add to this article: how much business (in dollars) this company does per year, and its total assets. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 14:04, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
