The SSHL website says: Around two-thirds of the 550 pupils at the school are boarders, who live at the school throughout their education.

How does this gybe with the stated 650 students, 3/4 boarders? I wonder which is up to date. Rbhman 20:24, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, how factually verifiable are the following statements?:

Most boarding students are from one of Sweden's larger cities; Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmo, but a large proportion come from abroad where their families live. There is therefore some rivalry and hostility between the "true Swedes" and the "ex-patriots". Houses holding many "ex-patriots" have often been the target for evil jokes and false rumors.

Politically, the school, both the boarding and non-boarding sides, is traditionally quite to the right. Many students are active in the Moderate Party and Christian Democrats youth organisations and tend to vote for such parties. Rbhman 20:24, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As an alumni (class of 2005) I can assure that the stated rivalty between Swedes and international students is highly exaggerated. Internationall students are placed in all the dormitories of the school just like the "true Swedes". If anything you can say that the non-Swedish speakers tend to kling together and, because of the language barrier, might feel a bit excluded from the major student body, that is Swedish speaking.

As a current student at the school, I support what Rhbman is saying on the rivalry between Swedes and international students. To date, after five and a half years at the school, I have seen very little to support this. However, there is a certain tendency among the international students to separate themselves from the Swedish students, just as Rhbman states. Dmaonk

While the political comment is not factually verifiable, it is indeed very true. Many students hold the same political beliefs as their parents, even though they aren't politically active nor learned. I have, however, not heard too much to support the statement that many students are active in the Christian Democrats youth organisations. In fact, I have not heard of a single student being a member. Dmaonk

Dear all. I reversed Sshladm edits. He removed the infobox and added text that made it more biased. I hope you agree. I dont see the point of writing ‘‘SSHL is Sweden's leading boarding school - A modern school on solid foundation ’’. I kept the npov banner until there is more info to make it look more justifiable.
