"shut down in 1945, operated sporadically until 1992"[edit]
This claim is wholly inaccurate, according to sources it was very busy after WW2, and in the 1950s and again in the 60s the mill had a considerable refit to more-or-less its current configuration. By the 1970s it was producing in the region of 1000 tons per day and was quite active well into the 80s. I do not have the time nor inclination to edit this article, but maybe someone might be interested to make the requisite corrections using the information in this source, which gives a full account of the timeline of the mill:
