Why is this article?[edit]
I'm very new and don't know how to go looking for whether this was discussed somewhere before the article was made. Did it get discussed? Were there goals for what it was meant to cover? At the moment, it seems a bit like a list of the psych theories that have used the term semantics as it's the only link that comes immediately to mind. Further, the definition of semantics in the lead is kind of vague - meaning exists in many ways. Finally, the information in this article is pulled from the Semantics article and seems to fit fairly well there (although its strange that its lead doesnt mention psychology as a relevant field). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xurizuri (talk • contribs) 16:40, 17 December 2020 (UTC) Oh no I forgot to sign! - Hi, this article is just a fork of the content in the original semantics article. I created it in an attempt to split up that article and I'm surprised it didn't get deleted after others disagreed with that decision. You could nominate it for deletion if you think that's right call, though if you could develop this into a decent article that would be great. You can have a look at the semantics article's talk page to see the discussion about splitting. Out of curiosity, is the term "semantics" used for a subfield of psychology? I fixed the intro, but the body of the article is rubbish. Makes very little sense, isn't even accurate of representative of the field.--Murky Falls (talk) 09:28, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
