It would be nice if this included the fact that the 4th Congressional district has been redrawn, and is believed to be more Republican.

This is certainly true. <a href="http://www.wbur.org/2011/11/30/fourth-congressional-district">The new district map can be seen here.</a> The new 4th District added areas such as Raynham and Hopkinton, which are heavily Republican. It also removed New Bedford, which is a stronghold of Democrats.
However one thinks about Sean Bielat's positions, this article is timely and newsworthy because Sean Bielat is involved in a local highly visible head-on-head race in a very polarized election (nationally and locally and regionally polarized) where important national outcomes are at issue. Maybe San Francisco Wikipedians don't see this, but New England Wikipedians DO see it.
