Biased POV

I believe the current article, as well as the brief version of it in the main Burma article, has a rather biased point of view. Burma has a rich history of Theravada Buddhism, and much humanitarian work, as well as peaceful protests for democracy and human rights, is carried about by the vast monk population and many lay adherents. Yet, the main focus of the article and the Burma article's religion section seems to be to point out the persecution suffered by religious minorities, in particular by Muslims and Christians. Is spite of these unfortunate facts, I believe the current point of view does not do justice to the Buddhist majority of the country. Burma has played a major role in the development of Buddhism throughout the history and has the second largest Theravada Buddhist population in the world today: the current POV in the articles is comparable to an article about Spain or France concentrating on persecution suffered by minority religions rather than on Christianity. 80.221.62.100 (talk) 16:08, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

A comment

It seems strange that an article on Religion in Myanmar would not mention Nat or other traditional religions of the country. I see there is a link to the Burmese Folk Religion, but there should also be something here as well.
