If you are looking to expand the article, the case continues to be cited as authority for the proposition that deportation as "a measure of protection of the community from undesired infiltration and is not punishment for any offence" a matter of relevance in the onging issue of deportation of people with criminal convictions despite spending most of their life in Australia.
