I saw this car at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009 and the festival programme and the cited Austin Rover website it says the car was based on a Series 3 E-type. However, the following website says it was based on a XJ-S: http://www.guyson.co.uk/news/newsref46_Guyson_E12.html To my eyes it looks like an E-type under there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Edvvc (talkcontribs) 21:35, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is definately a re-bodied E-Type. The bonnet is completely new but the rest of the slab-like body sits directly on top of the original E-Type body which sounds like a way of adding weight for no advantage. There is also a Towns rebodied XJS, and here Towns departs form his favoured flat panel box and wedge shapes and that car was called the Railton F28. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.148.38.65 (talk) 17:55, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
