Title[edit]

English-language name of the institution they use themselves is "Croatian Health Insurance Fund". Timbouctou (talk) 07:44, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out; it's bringing up a few more sources. I'll create a redirect and add the alternate into the article. Is keeping the article at "Institute for Health Insurance" okay? Mm40 (talk) 17:17, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, I'd prefer having it moved to Croatian Health Insurance Fund. Official names of Croatian institutions are not always literally translated into English, and the name they use internationally usually trumps literal translations here on Wikipedia. For examples, see Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service ("zavod" becomes "service"), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb (completely different from "filozofski fakultet") or Croatian Bureau of Statistics ("zavod" becomes "bureau"). That is because Croatian word "zavod" has a much larger scope of meaning in Croatian compared to "institute" in English, so each "zavod" is translated differently on a case by case basis. Hope this helps. Timbouctou (talk) 10:55, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
