Output Formats[edit]

It's is a bit odd having all the "others" output formats? I'm thinking a bit silly as we could list every image file format under the sun. Perhaps a collumn just for image format outputs? Thoughts? — Preceding unsigned comment added by DPY81 (talkcontribs) 20:47, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

InkScape?[edit]

InkScape isn't a DTP; it's a Vector Drawing program.

minus Removed. Hi. Thanks for the notice. Yes, I happen to know that too. I removed it. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 17:50, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lyx[edit]

The list of supported file formats for Lyx is way too short, which makes it look far less useful than it really is. Quoting from the project's website [1]:

   Document formats
Access to all LaTeX functionality with capability to insert plain LaTeX code anywhere in a document.
Import and export to many formats (LaTeX, PDF, Postscript, DVI, ASCII, HTML, OpenDocument, RTF, MS Word, and others) thanks to configurable converters
Send a fax from within LyX
Source code viewer for instant LaTeX and DocBook view.
       SGML-tools support (DocBook DTDs)
       Literate programming support (noweb, Sweave)
Support for export of PDF bookmarks and header information

References

It seems that there are two lists about the same subject. Should they be merged? Jarble (talk) 15:58, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose, on the grounds that List of desktop publishing software is a broader list, with comparison page giving details and comparison on the more notable subset. That is, the two pages serve different purposes, and as long as the pages are linked there is not apparent advantage to merging. Klbrain (talk) 06:12, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Closing, given the uncontested objection and lack of support. Klbrain (talk) 17:46, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
