"Boston Dirt Dog"[edit]

Trot Nixon Right Fielder was named the "DirtDog" by Boston's local media and local fan base beacuse of his hard play and his dirty ballcap that he never cleaned.

This reference doesn't make much sense. The link refers to the Wikipedia entry on the website "Boston Dirt Dogs." Was Brian Daubach involved in starting that website? I can't find any info suggesting this. It seems to me that the original author meant to reference Daubach's "Dirt Dog" persona, which is a reference to his percieved style of play. I'm leaving the "Dirt Dog" reference but removing the link to the BDD Wiki entry. BrunoRT 01:02, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you visit the Dirt Dog article again, you will see that it is primarily about the term "dirt dog" and its use. The website is just mentioned as one use of the term and not its origin. Daubach was not involved in starting the website other than being an inspiration for the name. Zzz345zzZ 02:52, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the link. The original link was directly to the Wiki entry for the "Boston Dirt Dogs" website, not the "Dirt Dog" definition page. I'll modify the link so it points in the right direction. BrunoRT 13:42, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Daubach's Douchebags[edit]

If you are going to add this "fan site" back to the article please provide a link to the site as well. Otherwise it is useless trivia that cannot be verified and as such will be deleted.

If you put any research into your claims, you would have realized, that BostonDirtDogs.com is not a fansite, but is run by the Boston Globe. In the future please be sure to sign your posts and refrain from using unnecessary, profane language. Zzz345zzZ 02:48, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
