Proposed merge of Attendance management into Attendance[edit]

Absence management or absence intervention are detailed topics in their own right, which encompass physical and mental healthcare not just 'turning up'. It is also a substantial global industry, so that should be cited. While I agree this article is incomplete, I don't agree that the answer is to roll the two together. I would be happy to submit an article, but I don't want to spend what would be quite a large amount of time on it if it won't be considered. - I would support merging them for now, with the understanding that if the content on attendance management is expanded to the point where a separate article is justified, it can be broken out into a separate article again. BD2412 T 15:47, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- Labrowp, if you would like to make even a small start on a proper article on the topic, I think that would be far preferable to my merge suggestion. On the other hand, if that's not something you want to do right now, I think I'll go ahead with the merge, with – pretty much as BD2412 says – the clear understanding that it can be reversed any time anyone wants to start a properly-sourced standalone page. I'd be happy to do it then. I could likely provide a small article within a few days and expand on it a few weeks after that. I'm not an experienced Wikpedia editor so you may need to tidy up after me. This happens to be a subject I'm working on for a healthcare client, hence me checking Wikpedia.
