Find correct name The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere. The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.

Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

No valid ref for death date or year[edit]

The article posits that he died on the vaguely specified date of "12/10/1611". This is vague because it is unclear whether this refers to 10 December (which the infobox assumes) or 12 October (which would be more common for both Portuguese and Spanish).

However, entirely apart from that issue, the reason for this post is that I can find no source which appears to be anything other than a copy job from Wikipedia or some other wiki. I did see a pre-existing ref given for Del Hoyo 2005, p. 102, but it does not support the date (or even the year!), as I found when I checked it. The latest date mentioned is 31 December 1607. The paragraph then concludes in Spanish: ¿en qué fecha murió? No lo sabemos., lit. 'On what date did he die? We don't know.'

Given that, unless someone can provide a verifiable source for his death date, after a reasonable amount of time has passed I will remove the existing date as inaccurate. 1980fast (talk) 22:38, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
