Plot[edit]

It would be good if the narrative of the song was summarised. --Dweller (talk) 15:27, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy?[edit]

Did this song ever offend the Pope or any one like that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.139.144.140 (talk) 23:27, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More detail?[edit]

Just wondering, there is a lot more detail on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_music. Apparently de Burgh was broke and staying at a friend's house (the old story of musicians!) when he read Erik von Daniken's "Chariot of the Gods", mixed it with some ideas from Yeats, and got this wonderful record.

What do people think?--92.19.179.200 (talk) 19:57, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, good spot. I've just added it word-for-word at the moment - the article may need a slight rewording though. TubularWorld (talk) 20:08, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Charts may be wrong[edit]

The coverversion of Mandaryna probably wasn't in the German charts at all and I fear it was only placed ad 32 in Poland. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandarynkowy_sen) (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandaryna)

I have no idea where to find sources we can trust in... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tranfunsel (talkcontribs) 20:32, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Light years of time[edit]

The second line says "'Twas light years of time since his mission did start" - ouch!MarkRae (talk) 18:02, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's obviously technically inaccurate, but that's no excuse for your daft "Chris de Burgh obviously doesn't know much about physics" edit. Smurfmeister (talk) 11:04, 13 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
