User Dbachmann claimed in Taqiyya talk page that he states facts based on his "research" from "academic references", however, he apparently inserts unreferenced text like "A special sub-field of ḥiyal is "oath-trickery" (maʿārīḍ) dedicated to the formulation of ambiguous statements designed to be interpreted as an oath or promise while leaving open loopholes to avoid perjury." to inject his opinion. The text clearly indicates a message that he tries to deliver. Islam contains a culture that allows them to lie under oath. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Asd1815 (talk • contribs)

I am in no position to "inject my opinion" here, as I had never even heard of the term maʿārīḍ before I consulted the references cited. All I am here is consulting google books for the most credible information that seems most pertinent and summarising it here, so that we at least have some referenced information, you know, as opposed to none. I don't see how I can be accused to "try to deliver" something that is clearly a fact. I have no special emotions relative to such facts. So Islamic jurisprudence has a subfield dedicated to trickery. Good for it. Note how the Jesuits also have something similar. I have no problem with either, nor do I feel any kind of glee about either. Seriously, if you are bothered by facts (or constantly have to second-guess the 'motives' of people listing facts) perhaps an encyclopedia isn't the proper environment for you. --dab (𒁳) 07:07, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

Dbachmann, The highlighted text is not referenced. Go reference it and then come back here. Encyclopedia should contain researched facts not any B.S. you find lying around. Anyone can use google to find books that fits his/her liking then reference it like you did.Asd1815 (talk) 16:14, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
