Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning is an upcoming 2024 Pakistani superhero science fantasy action film written by Atif Siddique and directed by Azfar Jafri. The film is based on the Persian Urdu manuscript of the book, Hamzanama of the short story, Tilism-e hoshruba.[1] The film is produced by Huma Jamil Babar under the banner of VR Chili Production. The film stars Usman Mukhtar as the titular character with Faran Tahir, Sanam Saeed, Ali Kazmi, Hamza Ali Abbasi and others.
In the film, Amar a professor at a local college discovers powers beyond his own control and must confront an imminent threat posed by the Laqqa clan who seek to unleash a powerful demon during an upcoming lunar eclipse.[2] Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning is scheduled to be released on 17 June 2024 worldwide.
Synopsis[edit]
As the legend unfolds, the imminent threat posed by the Laqqa clan looms large. These adversaries seek to unleash a powerful demon during an upcoming lunar eclipse, threatening to plunge the world into chaos. Amar who is unknowingly Umro Ayyar, is armed with newfound abilities, becoming humanity's last hope against this malevolent force.

The official trailer of film was released on 8th April 2024 on YouTube.[4] Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning is scheduled to be released theatrically on 17 June 2024 (Eid al-Adha 2024) worldwide.[5]
