Welcome![edit]

Hello, Jtm7dd, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox[edit]

I moved your draft back to your sandbox. You shouldn't be moving your work to mainspace until it's ready to go "live". Since you're working on improving an existing article, you need to merge your contributions into that article. Thanks. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:43, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have done this again, your new one is now at User:Jtm7dd/sandbox2. Please take care to create this in the userspace in future--Jac16888 Talk 19:10, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Jtm7dd/sandbox[edit]

Hi, I'm Slatersteven. Jtm7dd, thanks for creating Jtm7dd/sandbox!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. We already have such an article Geomancy.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Renaissance magic into User:Jtm7dd/sandbox. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:07, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
