Question from FalstaffPieman (13:12, 26 May 2024)[edit]

Hi there!

Please call me Matt :)

I do actually have a question. So, on the page for Andrea Leadsom (UK MP), I added a paragraph which I hoped would display in the introduction - but it became the first paragraph of the main body. How can I move it?

Page: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrea_Leadsom# Para reads: In May 2024, Leadsom announced that she will stand down as an MP in the 2024 United Kingdom general election.[6]

Many thanks M@ --FalstaffPieman (talk) 13:12, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@FalstaffPieman (or Matt!) You did put it in the introduction. The article body starts with the section titled "Early life and financial career." I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 13:17, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Redirecting notable albums[edit]

Hello. In some cases, you have redirected albums that charted highly and sold several hundred thousand copies: [1], [2]. I don't know who would dispute that an album that charted at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart, charted on at least three other national charts, and sold over 100,000 copies in the UK or the US (in the case of the former) is not notable. I'm aware some users feel more likely to redirect "articles unlikely to ever grow beyond stubs" per our notability guidelines, but please be a bit more discerning with what you redirect. @Ss112: You don't understand; to be fair, a few others also don't understand. Lacking a special interest or formal education in the area of albums, I'm not particularly knowledgeable about them. It's not about "not growing beyond a stub," it's about sourcing. Redirects aren't deletion, nor are they inherently harmful to Wikipedia. By redirecting poorly sourced stubs, I'm giving people a chance to revert the redirect, then source the stub without giving them a deadline. Nominating the stub for deletion puts up a deadline but also allows people to determine whether or not sources actually exist; whether or not sources exist is the true foundation of notability. Between you and another user, there's been five reverts of the redirects I've made since I've last logged into Wikipedia; I can't nominate them all for deletion. I also came here to ask you to please stop redirecting articles about notable albums. Thanks ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:35, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Another Believer Please reference the articles when you revert my redirects. Thanks. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 19:18, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
