I have worked in the area of marine science and policy for almost two decades and am completing a research PhD in the area of marine policy. Previously I have done research in community ecology and restoration ecology, also, I have sat on Government committees regulating artisanal fisheries and invasive species. I have also been on a local organizing committee for the Australian Marine Science Association.

Editing and other things

Please note that I am new and now have begun to make some small edits (see Scrapheap Challenge and Klamath River), until I understand how things work and am confidant enough to make an actual change. Any advice appreciated! In this regard I am relying on more experienced editors and people more expert in the topic to do the edit (this way I can also learn!). What I am doing at this stage is seeing anomalies, possible errors, grammar, structure, etc., and suggesting, or beginning to make, improvements. So if you check 'my contributions' you will see only a few edits, but more comments for improvement of the different articles I have read.
