Use

This Politics of the United States user interest template has two userbox options as shown below:

Wikitext	Userbox	Default Category
{{User interest US politics}}	This user is interested in the Politics of the United States.	Category:Wikipedians interested in United States politics
{{User interest US politics|0}}	no userbox	Category:Wikipedians interested in United States politics

Place the appropriate Wikitext on your user page, and this template will display the userbox shown above and add your user page to the category indicated.
