One source says "The jalebi, a descendant of the Arab zalabiya, is first mentioned in a Jain work of 1450" but doesn't offer access. [Sweets: a history of candy‎ - Page 332 Cooking - 2002 - 392 pages] ChildofMidnight (talk) 01:58, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
