The item on medical use seems incorrect. Firstly, the standard is international (IEC 60601-2-22), yes it's also used in Europe as EN 60601-2-22 but every country has it's own version so irrelevant to mention. Second, this type of sensor is too slow for practical implementation both in control and redundant systems, that need to shut off power within 100ms if a fault is detected.
