Any secondary sources about three Ottoman armies defeated by Skanderbeg in August 1462?[edit]

Are there any secondary sources about three Ottoman armies defeated by Skanderbeg in August 1462? The only source used to support information about three Ottoman armies defeated by Skanderbeg in August 1462 is primary source (Franco). According to WP:RS: "Material based purely on primary sources should be avoided."

Livad or Livada?[edit]

Is Livad a village Livada near Struga?--Antidiskriminator (talk) 17:35, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

I assume that the term Macedonia as part of this campaign is clearly wp:OR. So far I can't see any reference that labels this campaign as such.Alexikoua (talk) 13:23, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. I don't think there are reliable sources for any campaign at all. The only source for he body of the article is Demetrio Franco.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 14:09, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Many (if not most) other Skanderbeg's battles took place on the territory of northern Macedonia:
  1. Battle of Torvioll - north of Peshkopi which belong to Macedonia and was ceded to Albania in 20th century in exchange for Ohrid islands and monasteries
  2. Battle of Mokra (1445) - today in Makedonski Brod, Macedonia
  3. Battle of Otonetë - Upper Debar, modern-day Macedonia
  4. Battle of Oranik (1448) - Oranik (Debar in modern day Macedonia)
  5. Siege of Svetigrad (1448) - Svetigrad, now Kodžadžik, a village in the Republic of Macedonia
  6. Siege of Krujë (1450) - Northern part of the Sanjak of Albania
  7. Battle of Modrič - a village in Struga Municipality, in the Republic of Macedonia
  8. Battle of Meçad near Oranik in Upper Dibra (modern day Debar in Macedonia)
  9. Battle of Polog - Polog, near Tetovo, (modern day Macedonia)
  10. Siege of Berat (1455) - Albania
  11. Battle of Oranik (1456) - Plains of Oranik (Debar in modern day Macedonia)
  12. Battle of Albulena - Albania
  13. Battle of Mokra (July 1462) - Mokra, Macedonia
  14. Battle of Pollog - 1462 - Polog, near Tetovo, (modern day Macedonia)
  15. Battle of Livad - Macedonia
  16. Battle of Ohrid - Macedonia
  17. Battle of Vaikal - near Ohrid (present-day Republic of Macedonia)
  18. Battle of Meçad (1465) - near Oranik in Upper Dibra (modern day Debar in Macedonia)
  19. Battle of Vaikal - near Ohrid (present-day Republic of Macedonia)
  20. Battle of Kashari - Albania (if this battle ever happened, the only source is 15-th century work of Franco
  21. Siege of Krujë (1466–67) - Albania
  22. Siege of Krujë (1467) - Albania
So, 5 of 22 battles of Skanderbeg found in the Template:Campaignbox Ottoman–Albanian Wars only 5 took place in Albania and 17 in Macedonia. Since almost all of Skanderbeg's battles were in Macedonia, picking three of them without any sources to present them as some kind of Macedonian campaign is incorrect.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 09:38, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
