Correct term, 0G or pre-cellular

I don't like the term 0G, it has been introduced several decades after the events and I have never hear of it before. IMO the correct term is pre-cellular networks. 0G should also be removed from the template. MaxPont (talk) 20:50, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Do we need more help for those who think all mobile phones are cell phones?

I started to add this, believe it or not, at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (precision)#Mobile phone, before finding my way here thru 0G:

Mobile telephone and mobile phone, on the other hand, are (contrary to the Rdr of one of those titles and the missing Hatnote of the other) ambiguous between cell phones and the expensive, bulky, and rare technology that preceded both any form of solid-state microwave tech, which widely used mobile phones require, and LSI, which fully portable phones require. David Hemmings's character's car had mobile phone in Blowup in 1966 in his sports car, surely permanently installed, and as i think i recall, with the calls dialed by an operator employed by the providing mobile-phone company, per either a prearranged list of frequently called people or a conversation between her and the customer.

I haven't finished thinking abt any need for a further hat note, but i'm going to save now, both for intervening comments and for my own convenience in shutting down for a few hours.
