McNary Field[edit]

Good day, Salem McNary Field has been selected again for commercial air service starting in June of 2007. Should this article be updated to reflect that? Thanks, --Trashbag 14:11, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Salem should be moved into the list of Primary ariports, now that Airline service has returned. Estimated yearly boardings are about 25,000 per year. 71.38.147.247 (talk) 21:56, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, no it should not. As Zyxw pointed out to me on my talk page he explains:

"The Role column is based on the airport categories defined in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) Report for 2007-2011 [1]. According to the FAA, "commercial service airports are defined as public airports receiving scheduled passenger service and having 2,500 or more enplaned passengers per year". [2] This is then further broken down into "Primary" (10,000+ enplanements per year) and "Non-Primary" (2,500 to 10,000 enplanements per year). There are a number of airports in the U.S. which have scheduled commercial airline service but do not meet this requirement."

Oregon Airports[edit]

Good day all, I have started a List of private-use airports in Oregon. In addtion, I will be updating the List of Airports in Oregon soon as I get it completed. (I have not segregated them into types or added IATA/ICAO data). Feel free to take a look and pitch in all you like.
