"Engineer"

I know a guy that works for the Canadian airforce and he goes around saying he's a "Flight Engineer". As far as I know, in Canada, you can't call yourself an "Engineer" unless you have the "Professional Engineer" designation (P.Eng) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional_engineer#Canada ). So, it should be noted that the usage of "Flight Engineer" in Canada is illegal for people that aren't actual engineers and are instead just minor technicians. --24.222.82.111 (talk) 18:15, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Negative. "Flight engineer" is a legal term in accordance with Transport Canada. More specifically, the the Transport Canada CARS regulations. Military Flight Engineers are licensed and sanctioned through 1 Canadian Air Division, which adheres to Transport Canada regulations.
