Great, informative article, however tends to read as more of an essay over an encyclopedic entry. The subheading suggestion above would be useful, perhaps more use of smart paraphrasing as well over the insertion of as many quotations as there are? There could be a sub topic of how avocado toast has become a part of pop culture. Well yes, there could be such a sub-topic, but is it really the business of Wikipedia to have sub-topics on all of the things Paltrow develops a thing for? I disagree with the extensive removals made by the prior editor, without discussion. Much of this content is sourced to high quality sources like The Washington Post and The New Yorker, and its removal had the particular problem of removing much of the context for this food's increasing popularity in the U.S. Also, the change of a section title to "Media hyperbole" seemed to violate NPOV. This article can surely use improvement but please let's do it through orderly discussion, not by evisceration. --Arxiloxos (talk) 02:26, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unrefs[edit]

So there were three sentences that stuck out in the article when I read it. Strangely, all three were statements about times and places where this food was eaten. None cited.

Why were they in three different locations?

Mexico and Australia
Chile
Solihull

I think my edit was a compromise... the rest of the article is well written, looks like it is relatively well sourced (I didn't check them, just that the citations exist where they should), and I didn't want to destroy the first paragraph... Not sure about having an unverified claim as the first sentence (after the lede). But I only wanted to make the technical changes, so I call for assistance as to what to do about that first sentence.
